VetWebINTRANET - An information portal for your staff

PDF Print E-mail

VetWebINTRANET is a private (password protected) information portal for your practice and staff.  Your Intranet will contain information that is specific to the internal operations of your practice making it especially useful for large, 24hr and multi-location hospitals where internal communication might be a problem.  To access your practice Intranet, each employee must register by completing an online form.  The information provided is sent to an administrator (typically the practice owner or a senior manager) via email who grants (or denies) access to that employee.  The employee is advised via email that access has been granted (or denied). NOTE: You would probably only deny access if they are NOT an employee.

Employees may access the Intranet from any Internet-connected computer.  Once logged-in each employee will have access to:

  • New employee announcements (automatic) - Each time a new-hire is granted access to the Intranet, their name and image is displayed on the frontpage for 30 days. This is a great way to announce new employees,
  • Employee directory (automatic) - A staff directory is automatically created and maintained as employees join (and leave) your practice. Employees can update their contact information anytime so the directory is always up-to-date.
  • Birthdays/Anniversaries this Month (automatic) - A great morale builder. Your Intranet will automatically display birthdays and anniversaries for the current month (without displaying the age of course),
  • Private Messaging System (PMS) - Use the PMS to communicate with staff instead of email.  Since employees cannot send or receive from the outside world, communications and your network are more secure,
  • Employee of the Month - Another great morale builder. Employees nominate fellow colleagues and managers select a new winner each month. The winner's name and image is displayed on the frontpage,
  • Hospital Announcements and Policies - Managers can easily create and update policies, and post announcements. New announcements and updated policies are automatically displayed on the frontpage.
  • Hospital Events Calendar - Managers can post events in a calendar-like format.  Events can be open to all or by invitation-only. Optionally allow (or require) attendees to register.  Great for training classes.
  • Industry News (Local/National/World) - Using external "data feeds" from the likes of DVM360 and the AVMA, employees will always have access to the latest industry news right from your Intranet,
  • Forms & Downloads Library - Allows managers to create (or upload) and post forms and documents that employees can view and download,
  • Hospital Message Board - A place for staff to openly communicate with managers and other staff about any topic,
  • And so much more.

With VetWebINTRANET you can categorize content so it is only viewable to certain staff members or certain departments.  For example, if you have multiple departments (i.e. Surgery, Emergency, Dermatology, etc.) you could have separate announcements and a separate events calendar for each department.  This also applies to locations.  If you have multiple locations you can assign employees to a location so they only see content specific to that location.

Managers can easily create new content and update existing content right from the frontend of the Intranet itself.  No complicated "administrator panels" or software to install,

VetWebINTRANET costs $695 to setup plus $95/month for the first location plus $49/month for each additional location (if you happen to have more than one location).  Unlimited training and support is included.  No contract.
